Family Guy fans won't have to wait for the Season 8 DVDs to get a glimpse of the controversial abortion episode. Variety reports that a live table read of the banned episode will happen next Wednesday at Hollywood's Ricardo Montalban Theater in light of the show's recent nomination in the best comedy category.
The episode in question, "Partial Terms of Endearment" is about Lois Griffin being a surrogate mother who becomes faced with the decision of whether or not to keep the baby after she discovers the parents are killed in a car crash. Nothing is said about Lois's decision until the final scene when Peter Griffin sticks his head at the bottom of the screen and announces, "She had an abortion."
Subtlety is not Seth McFarlane's forte but this proved to be too much for FOX execs who has sparked much chatter around TV circles after they decided to ban the episode from airing on the network.
